Junior Hockey Subscriptions 2024-25 Season

Age groupings based upon your child's age on the 1st September 2024. There is a table at the end of the document showing ages.

Additional deductions can be applied for relevant sibling or club discounts that are applicable

• Sibling discount : There is a discount of £10 available on the subscriptions of all siblings in the junior section. E.g. if two brothers/sisters in U14 groups both will pay £180 each.
• Volunteering: Discounts from 25% to 100% are available (see below)

Payment of subscriptions for all age groups are required by the 30th September 2024. Payment must be made through Credit or Debit Card on the clubs online site - https://www.brombeckshockey.com/payments

U18 : Most of our U18s now play senior hockey. For this reason under 18 players will pay their subs at the student rate, plus match fees, to the senior club. If you do not play senior hockey please discuss payment of subs with your U18 junior coach. U18 players must provide consent forms to the senior section if they play in a senior team or the U18 junior coach.

Volunteers
As always we are looking for some help from the parents. The club is run by volunteers and any help - however small is really appreciated.

If you could help by taking a register at training sessions, or liaising with opposition teams on start times. Any help is most welcome! Please don’t hesitate to speak to your childs’ coaching team. However there are some roles that we need help with and we are able to offer a discount to any parent if they undertake a role. Specifically we need help with Group/Team Administrators.

Group/Team Administrator

• Discount : 50% off annual subscription for one child
• Ensure all the players in the group are registered and have paid and all their details are recorded online (we have online administration systems for this).
• Ensure everyone is aware of the season and match dates and players have set their availability
• Create a whatsApp group or casual and immediate notifications (Match update / cancelled training sessions etc)
• Act as a focal point for enquiries about joining the group and make sure any new joiners are contacted and the coaches know to expect them.
• Contact opposition clubs and arrange times/venues of matches in consultation with the coaches
• Attend online Junior Meetings (1 evening per month)

Treasurer

• Discount : 100% off annual subscription for one child
• Ensure the Junior accounts are completed
• Ensure the Juniors have a financial plan/budget for the following year
• Approve payments and control the Junior bank account (act as signatory)
• Act as a focal point for enquiries about expenditure / costs
• Assist with the negotiation of contracts (coaches, pitches etc)
• Attend online Junior Meetings (1 evening per month)

Lead Coach

• Discount : 100% off annual subscription for one child
• Ensure the group has a plan for the year
• Act as the lead for a session (help from our club coach is available for session plans/content etc)
• Act as the key First Aider on site (first aid course will be provided free of charge)
• Identify the key talented kids - and assist in outlining development plans for them
• Take the register at training sessions (there is an app available for this)
• Must be at least Level 1 qualified
• All/Any EH or FIH Coaching courses will be paid for by the club.
• Attend online Junior Meetings (1 evening per month)

Umpire

• Discount : 50% off annual subscription for one child (assume 8 matches a season)
• Attend online Junior Meetings (1 evening per month)

DBS Verifier

• Discount : 50% off annual subscription for one child
• Ensure a list of DBS (background checks) is maintained for the clubs officers/helpers
• Validate and submission of DBS checks (validating proof of identity)
• Assist junior officers/helpers with the DBS process (online tool)
• Attend online Junior Meetings (1 evening per month)

Video Analyst

• Discount : 25% off annual subscription for one child (based on 4 home matches and upload to HUDL)
• Take video of the match
• Attend online Junior Meetings (1 evening per month)

Senior Membership
In order to simplify the club's finances - Junior players will no longer be able to play senior hockey for free if they are a member of the junior club. They will now be required to pay a "junior" fee in the senior club. Please see the senior club membership for details.
